THE VERY BEST! - I have had numerous visits over a span of many years which have given me the opportunity to not only review Dr. Housel... but to give his entire staff many of the the same dependable qualities. I have had a wide range of treatments due to sun damage-- some simple and others much more involved as the MOHS surgery. In every MOHS treatment Dr. Housel has an extraordinary talent when it comes to his ability to execute stitches to close the wound and after healing time you are left with no regrets. My MOHS sites are almost impossible to see.Both Dr. Housel and his team are competent and exercise excellent communication, patient care, and communication skills. Never do you feel like you are being rushed through for the next patient.Upon leaving you have a clear understanding of after-care (written instructions as well). Dr. Housel is invested in each patient to the point of making an evening call to check on how you are doing. It stunned me years ago and it continues on with empathy. More

I underwent a MOHS surgery at this visit to remove a basal cell carcinoma. The nurses were very reassuring preparing me for the procedure. Dr. Housel explained the procedure completely and was very gentle as he removed the cancerous cells. I didn’t feel a thing. Once it was determined that all the cancerous cells had been removed, he stitched the area and the nurse applied the necessary bandages. I left with written directions about caring for the surgical site until I return in a week to have the stitches removed. More

I absolutely love Dr. Housel and his amazing staff! They are so professional, caring, compassionate, kind, and always make me and my entire family feel so comfortable. We are all patients of Dr. Housel. Today, my Mom and I both had to have procedures to remove an abnormal mole (for me) and my Mom had MOHS surgery. Dr. Housel was just wonderful to both of us. He answers all of your questions and makes you feel very comfortable with what he is doing. He even called both of us on the phone later in the day just to check in and see how we were both doing after our procedures. I don't know of any other doctor out there that cares about his patients to do that. He's wonderful and truly one of the most experienced dermatology doctors out there especially when it comes to MOHS surgery. I highly and strongly recommend that if ever you find yourself needing this procedure, GO TO DR. HOUSEL!, He is the best in the business! Excellent surgeon. I am so impressed with Dr. Housel after having Mohs surgery. He is truly amazing. I had one surgery at another office for skin cancer in Syracuse and still have a terrible scar. No one can tell that I just had surgery on my face two months ago. More
